Often as we begin to plan for what we want to accomplish in the coming year a certain level of pride is somehow built into those plans regardless of how well intentioned the ideas. Perhaps intentional decrease is the answer, this was John the Baptist’s plan.
“He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 4:30
Looking forward to next year I want to get some things done… rather I want some things to happen. So that the excellency of these things may be of Christ and not of me that He may have the praise He deserves, I must decrease.
