“Where there is no vision, the people perish:” Pr 29:18a

This verse invokes several good memories for me: among other things my Dad often uses this idea in his preaching, and it was (possibly still is) written in the auditorium of Riverview Baptist Church – a special place for our family. However, it also reminds me of Jesus challenge in John 4:35:

“Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”

In baseball we say “keep your eye on the ball.” Jesus says to keep our eyes on the work – lost souls. There is little time to spare, let us reach them everywhere. -PB
