Psalm 51:10 Getting A Clean Heart. Here David recognizes his need for cleaning, and he also knows that it is a bigger job than he can handle alone. David does not give into the lie that his sin is okay, or the lie that there is nothing that could be done about it, nor does not lie to cover it up. He knows the truth: the Forgiver of sins is the Creator of good. David had no power to change, so he asked God to change him. This is a part of grace: the continual creation of God (2 Cor 5:17). -PB
