“A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.” Prov 24:18

This morning I stopped to wonder why this liar was described as three different weapons, and I think the solution is in that he harms at least three people with his lies: his neighbor, himself, and the one he lies to.

Consider however, the healing work of the truth of the Word of God. It is a hammer to break up a stony heart (Jer 23:29), a sword to open understanding (Heb 4:12), and it’s preachers are as arrows delivering the message (Lam 3:12&13). ┬áHave a great day! -PB
