Matthew 7:22 “Many.” I’ve been struck the last several days by the timing of this statement. Jesus made this prophetic proclamation during the Sermon on the Mount near the beginning of His earthly ministry. Showing His authority to judge (v 1) for He is God. Yet He did not at this time have “many” followers, especially in name. Look to today. There are so many “Christians.” The many false professors are all around us. True believers must be faithful to show the way to the false professor and the non-confessor.
