Often I think of winning battles in terms of gaining ground. Naturally I am offensively minded: approve the next deal, score the basket, hit the ball, find the next soul. However, winning requires defense too: manage existing portfolio, catch the ball, stop the dribble, serve current church members.
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Eph 6:13
Sometimes the best we can do is just stand our ground. Some days we just are not going to capture the flag, but we can still hold on to our own. STAND. -PB
