Seldom do people truly like to be corrected, so much so that we can become angry at the person taking care enough to offer wise instruction. Today it is so easy to tune out instruction and turn to playful distracting things, floating down stream in life without making a difference in our world.
I am trying to pay attention to those times when my defenses go up, and instinct says “They cannot tell me what to do!” I need to take a step back and listen for what God may be saying. I am trying to head warnings rather than turn on distractions. I want to smile at the end of the game rather than have “fun” goofing off during it. -PB
