Who We Are
The History of Our Church
In November 2004, a small group began meeting at the Waldport Community Center. By March 2005, Lighthouse held both Sunday services and Thursday studies there. On July 26, 2006, Lighthouse Independent Baptist Church was officially formed under the guidance of our sponsoring church.
For over nine years, the community center was our gathering place until, in April 2014, God blessed us with the purchase of our current location.
Through the years, many people have come and gone, but our love for them and for our community has remained. At Lighthouse, you’ll find ordinary people striving to serve an extraordinary God—imperfect, but living in His all-sufficient grace.
